Your Consent is Important
Our full Privacy Policy is set out
here but we know that you may not have time to read all of it. So, let's make giving your informed consent as simple as possible.
Some of the information you have given to us may be defined as special category data (like health information). This means we need to have a lawful basis for processing your information. We believe the lawful basis is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or remedies open to you. This is because you are using Nova to better understand your options in a family law context and you may decide to provide this information to your legal adviser of choice.
By completing your Nova submission you will be giving us your explicit consent to:
- send you your Nova recommendation and, if you ask us, to connect you with your chosen legal adviser and, if also requested, to send them a copy of your Nova recommendation; and
- consider your anonymised data (anonymised means you cannot be personally identified in any way) for analytics purposes. Analytics is a fancy way of saying we look for patterns in large amounts of data. For example, do many more men than women use Nova? Why? Do we need to change something to remedy this imbalance?
You can withdraw your consent to this processing at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer, Alan Larkin, via email at support@novalaw.co.uk or by telephone on 01273 916353.
You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office via https://ico.org.uk/ for information, advice or to make a complaint.
